Risk Disclosure Statement

This Risk Disclosure Statement is issued by Bharat Social Finance Corporation (BSFC) to provide customers, applicants, Self Help Group (SHG) members, beneficiaries, entrepreneurs, rural participants, and stakeholders with important information regarding the potential financial, operational, legal, digital, repayment-related, and livelihood risks associated with accessing, applying for, participating in, or using BSFC financial services, SHG programs, microfinance initiatives, livelihood support activities, digital systems, and associated operational services.

The purpose of this Risk Disclosure Statement is to encourage responsible financial decision-making, promote transparency, strengthen customer awareness, support informed participation, and ensure that customers understand the responsibilities and potential consequences associated with borrowing, repayment obligations, financial commitments, operational participation, and digital financial engagement.

BSFC operates as a community-focused and rural-oriented financial services institution supporting financial inclusion, women empowerment, livelihood enhancement, entrepreneurship development, SHG participation, and sustainable economic growth initiatives. While BSFC aims to provide responsible financial assistance and operational support, participation in financial services and borrowing activities involves certain inherent risks that customers should carefully consider before applying for or accepting financial assistance.

Customers acknowledge that all loans, financial assistance, repayment obligations, SHG financing activities, operational commitments, and financial participation involve repayment responsibilities and contractual liabilities. Borrowed amounts, service-related charges, applicable fees, operational costs, and other lawful financial obligations must generally be repaid in accordance with agreed repayment schedules, operational terms, financing agreements, and customer obligations irrespective of business performance, income fluctuations, operational challenges, livelihood disruptions, or financial circumstances unless otherwise expressly approved by BSFC in writing.

Customers are advised to carefully assess their repayment capacity, financial condition, household obligations, operational sustainability, business feasibility, livelihood stability, income sources, and financial priorities before applying for or accepting financial assistance. Borrowing beyond reasonable repayment capability may result in financial stress, repayment difficulty, operational disputes, collection proceedings, reduced financial flexibility, or negative impact on future financial eligibility.

BSFC does not guarantee business success, profit generation, income stability, employment security, financial growth, operational sustainability, market success, livelihood improvement, investment returns, or economic advancement solely on the basis of receiving financial assistance or participating in BSFC-supported programs. Business outcomes, livelihood activities, entrepreneurial efforts, agricultural activities, trading operations, or self-employment initiatives may be affected by market conditions, local economic circumstances, environmental factors, competition, inflation, seasonal changes, operational risks, government policies, health conditions, natural disasters, social conditions, or circumstances beyond operational control.

Customers participating in SHG activities, community financing programs, group-based financial initiatives, or joint liability arrangements acknowledge that repayment obligations, operational responsibilities, group participation requirements, and financial accountability may involve collective coordination, community participation, peer responsibility, operational discipline, and shared financial expectations depending on the structure of the financial program.

Delayed repayment, financial default, operational non-compliance, unresolved dues, repayment disputes, or violation of financial obligations may result in additional charges, penalties, operational restrictions, legal notices, collection proceedings, recovery actions, reduced financial eligibility, negative repayment history records, or reporting to authorized credit information entities or lawful authorities in accordance with applicable laws and operational standards.

Digital financial services, online applications, electronic communication systems, mobile platforms, digital payment systems, and internet-based operational processes may involve risks including cybersecurity threats, unauthorized access attempts, phishing activity, technical failures, communication delays, malware attacks, internet disruption, system downtime, fraud attempts, identity theft risks, data breaches, or digital operational interruptions beyond reasonable operational control.

Customers are advised to maintain confidentiality of passwords, OTPs, banking credentials, verification codes, login information, digital authentication systems, and financial account details associated with BSFC services. Customers should avoid sharing confidential information with unauthorized individuals and should immediately report suspicious communication, impersonation attempts, cyber fraud, unauthorized transactions, or operational misuse through official BSFC communication channels.

BSFC may rely upon customer-provided information, operational records, digital systems, verification procedures, third-party service providers, banking institutions, payment gateways, technology platforms, credit information systems, operational partners, or external agencies during financial assessment, operational processing, verification activities, and service administration. Errors, delays, technical failures, inaccurate information, operational dependency, system interruptions, third-party limitations, or external institutional issues may occasionally affect service delivery, operational timelines, communication processes, or financial transactions.

Customers acknowledge that field verification, operational review, documentation assessment, digital authentication, repayment monitoring, community evaluation, or SHG coordination activities may be conducted by BSFC or authorized representatives for lawful business, compliance, customer protection, fraud prevention, or operational administration purposes.

Financial assistance approval, operational participation, loan sanction, SHG enrollment, digital service access, or customer onboarding remain subject to verification procedures, eligibility assessment, operational feasibility, documentation review, regulatory compliance requirements, internal approval standards, repayment evaluation, fraud prevention checks, and lawful operational considerations. Submission of an application or participation request does not guarantee approval or continued access to services.

BSFC reserves the right to suspend, reject, restrict, defer, investigate, terminate, or modify financial assistance, operational participation, customer access, SHG involvement, digital services, or repayment arrangements in situations involving fraud, operational misuse, document forgery, suspicious activity, regulatory concerns, financial misconduct, unlawful conduct, or violation of applicable agreements or operational policies.

Customers are encouraged to seek independent legal, financial, tax, accounting, agricultural, or professional business advice before making significant financial decisions, livelihood investments, entrepreneurial commitments, or operational borrowing arrangements based on individual financial circumstances and business requirements.

BSFC reserves the right to modify, amend, revise, replace, or update this Risk Disclosure Statement periodically to reflect operational changes, legal developments, regulatory expectations, financial sector practices, technological advancements, customer protection standards, or organizational requirements. Updated versions shall become effective upon publication through official BSFC communication channels unless otherwise required by applicable law.

This Risk Disclosure Statement shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising in connection with financial participation, repayment obligations, operational services, customer responsibilities, digital systems, or financial assistance activities shall be subject to the jurisdiction of competent courts located within the jurisdiction of BSFC’s registered office, subject to applicable legal provisions.
